Ashton Kutcher regrets his friendship with Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs and fears the disgraced music mogul would willingly lie to authorities about his famous friends if it meant he could clear his own name.
Combs, 54, is currently awaiting trial at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution after being arrested earlier this month.
Kutcher, 46, had been close friends with Combs for close to two decades, with the duo speaking highly of each other over the years and the actor even attending one of his infamous White Parties.
However, in light of Combs’ arrest, insiders have claimed Kutcher is terrified that the rap star could ‘say anything, do anything or turn on anyone’ to get out of jail.
‘Ashton absolutely regrets his friendship with Diddy considering what has happened,’ an insider told DailyMail.com. ‘He feels lied to, betrayed, taken for granted and manipulated.’

The source continued: ‘He feels the same way about Danny Masterson. He now trusts no one except for his wife Mila [Kunis]. He is going to keep his circle to his family.’
Back in October 2023, Kutcher and Kunis, 40, came under fire after sharing letters of support for their former That 70’s Show costar Masterson, in which they pleaded for the judge to show leniency to the actor before he was sentenced to 30 years.
Following the backlash, the couple – who got married in 2015 and share two children – posted an apology video, and Kutcher stepped down as chair of his anti-child sex abuse organization.
Having weathered the Masterson backlash, the actor is now preparing for the possibility of being dragged into the investigation with Combs.
‘Ashton does have fears about how this investigation will play out,’ the insider said.
‘He feels Diddy would have no problem lying to authorities and tossing out some of his famous friend’s names if it meant it could get him out of jail.’
The source continued: ‘Diddy could say anything, do anything or turn on anyone at this point.
‘Everyone who is close to Diddy fears the possibility of Diddy making up false allegations to clear his own name.’
In light of Combs’ arrest, sources have claimed that Kutcher is terrified about what the rap star could allege about those associated with him
The source insisted that Kutcher had never attended one of Combs’ ‘freak off’ sessions while enjoying the rapper’s famous parties
DailyMail.com previously revealed that Kutcher was expecting a subpoena when Combs’ houses were raided earlier this year.
‘He does not want to get involved in this, but knows that his association means he already is,’ the insider explained. ‘If he gets contacted by the authorities, he will be fully cooperative as he has nothing to hide.

‘Ashton knows that he dug himself a hole with this one but never in a million years did he believe that Diddy was truly doing these horrible things.’
Insisting that Kutcher had never attended one of Combs’ ‘freak off’ sessions, the insider claimed that the final straw in their friendship was the video of Combs dragging his then girlfriend Cassie Ventura across a hotel lobby.
‘They had a genuine friendship,’ they said. ‘But when Ashton and Mila saw the video of Cassie, they realized that he was a monster and not someone they want in their life.’
During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2018, Combs revealed that the actor’s MTV show Punk’d – which he fronted from 2003 to 2007 – brought them together.
He recalled: ‘I gave [Ashton] a call one day and said, “I heard you are going to Punk me and I just don’t think that’s a good idea. If you do that that will not end well for you, but I think we should work out a deal.”‘
Combs explained that he was fearful of being targeted on Punk’d after watching an episode with Kanye West, adding that it ‘got so dangerous.’

Ashton and his wife Mila Kunis (pictured in April 2023) came under fire last October for supporting Danny Masterson – and Kunis has reportedly banned him from contacting Combs
In 2019, Ashton shared more details of his friendship with the rapper during an appearance on Sean Evans’ Hot Ones.
At the time, he said: ‘We became fast friends. We used to just hang out and watch football together.’
Kutcher went onto reveal that he also played a part in getting the rapper to sign up for the New York City Marathon in 2003 after he had joined the actor on a run.
He said: ‘Halfway through the run, he’s [Combs] like “I’m running out of gas right now.” There was paparazzi all around us at the time.
‘He’s like, “You gotta slow down and make it look like you’re not slowing down because I don’t want to look like I’m not going to be able to finish this thing.” And he was losing it.’
Kutcher continued: ‘We finish out the run and then he was so upset over the fact that he got skunked on this run that he decided he would run the New York Marathon.
‘He just started immediately training for the New York Marathon.
‘He just can’t lose. Even when he’s that close to humility, it becomes a driver, so then he went out and ran the New York Marathon.’
The actor has also supported the I’ll Be Missing You rapper at public events.
The source added: ‘Ashton knows that he dug himself a hole with this one but never in a million years did he believe that Diddy was truly doing these horrible things’
In 2007, he attended Combs’ Unforgiveable Woman fragrance launch in New York.
He was also among the A-listers invited to the mogul’s infamous annual white party in Los Angeles in 2009 where he posed for a picture alongside Combs and his then-wife Demi Moore, 61.
If convicted, Combs could face life in prison after being charged in relation to an apparent ‘criminal enterprise’ through his business empire: engaging in sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion, drugs offences, transportation to engage in prostitution, kidnapping and physical abuse against women, among other offences.
The charges against him center around so-called ‘freak offs’ or private sex parties, allegedly taking place in hotel rooms with male and female prostitutes from 2008 to the present day.
Some ‘freak-offs’ are said to have gone on for days, ending up with exhausted participants having to rehydrate via an IV drip.
It is from one of these dissolute events that Combs’s former girlfriend Cassie was allegedly trying to flee in 2016 when security cameras in a Los Angeles hotel captured Combs viciously attacking her in a corridor.
She filed a lawsuit against Combs in November 2023 which he settled within a day, which provided the catalyst for more people to come forward with claims of abuse.

Combs pleaded not guilty to charges against him and was denied bail, despite his legal team’s request for him to be released for $50 million and kept electronically monitored.
As well as their concerns over Combs, Kutcher and his wife have also been forced to debunk split rumors.
The couple were pictured together at SoFi stadium in Los Angeles on Sunday with their daughters Wyatt Isabelle, nine, and son Dimitri Portwood, seven.
Speaking with People, a source called the split rumors ‘ridiculous and false.’
A second source told the site: ‘Ashton has no involvement in any of this. He doesn’t belong in this conversation about Diddy. Ashton has only seen Diddy in a handful of social and business events, all of which have been documented by the media.’
